Trunk Shows!

Did you know that you can see and try on many of our sample garments?

If you live in or around Everett WA...

Be sure to visit:
The Needle & I
2931 Rucker Ave
Everett WA USA
Telephone: 425-259-3013

The Needle & I now carries our patterns and for the month of September also has our "Assorted Garments" trunk show for you to see and try. The Assorted Garments trunk show includes over 20 pieces made from our patterns in different sizes and different fabrics. This is a fabulous opportunity to check out what a pattern looks like before you make it up.

It's also a great time to meet store owner, Georgia Gale. She offers some wonderful programs to help you hone your sewing skills. Check out her Box Lunch events that take place on the 1st Thursday of each month!

Featured Patterns

#102 Sweater Twin Set and #603 Tapered Pull-on Pant

Here's a versatile combo that will take you comfortably into the cooler weather of fall.

Did you know that you can make all your t-shirts from our Sweater Twin Set? This pattern comes with a pullover and cardigan in short or long sleeves. It is one of our easiest patterns, but remember you must use stretch fabric or the sleeves will feel tight.

Also very easy to sew is our Tapered Pull-on Pant #603. It's comfortable for walking, jogging, yoga, shopping, and sofa sitting! Remember to use a stretch fabric for this pant as well.

(If you are visiting The Needle & I in Everett WA, you can see this outfit in the trunk show.)

The scarf sets off the outfit nicely, doesn't it?
It is made with leftover fabric from the pant and top. (There's always a strip that isn't much good for anything.) Make a tube from two colors and join together at one end. Twist the tubes then join at the other end.

This is a very personal project. Make the tubes as long as looks nice on you, and as thick as looks good in your fabric - that means a little experimenting in front of the mirror before finalizing at the sewing machine.

Take 10% off these two patterns when you buy before September 30, 2006.
You may order direct from us or visit The Needle & I in Everett WA for this offer.

What's New for Fall?

ImageThe Capri Pant #604 has finally arrived!
There's still time to make it for warm weather in cottons or for special occasions in fancies like silk noile.
(If you are visiting The Needle & I in Everett WA, you can see this pant done in cotton spandex twill in the trunk show. Very casual and fun in a bamboo motif!)

The great news is that the Capri Pant is also a very cool piece for cold weather.

All the fashion magazines are showing capris worn with jackets and boots for fall and winter.

Our Capri Pant has all the fitting features that you've come to enjoy in our line. Those of you with fitting issues in the seat will appreciate the extra seam down the back leg for custom fitting.

Visit our online catalogue for photos of the Capri Pant #604.

Take advantage of a 10% discount on two our favorite fall patterns when you order from us or buy direct from The Needle & I before September 30, 2006.

Be sure to mention the newsletter offer for a discount on your choice of:

Happy fall sewing from all of us at Petite Plus Patterns!
