Cool Ideas for Warm Weather Sewing
In the heat of the summer when many folks go to the beach, I'd rather retreat
to my cool basement and sew up a storm. I know I'm not alone on this, so for
you cool basement sewers, here are some hot ideas along with a summer special
that runs to August 15, 2006.
Cool Walking Combo
Short Sleeve Shell in cool cotton. This easy basic has 4 great
necklines. Shown here is the v-neck and we've added 2 textured buttons
to center front for interest.
#651 Walking Skort in cotton poplin is smooth and comfortable
for our curves. The front skirt panel camouflages the tummy.
The legs are fitted to eliminate any awkward creeping.

#302 Princess Seamed Dress skims over the full bust,
but notice there's no gaping or pulling in all the wrong places.
It comes with optional pockets, collar and your choice of short
or long sleeves.
The Princess Seamed Dress is perfect for shopping and luncheon
Shown here in a cool, washable rayon from The
Wear Doubles for Beach Wear
Sewers are good at seeing all the possibilities a pattern has to offer and here's
a good example. Yes it's a nightgown but change the fabric, scoop the neckline,
and look what a fabulous beach or patio dress we end up with!
Both of these casual dresses were made in washable rayon - the orange from Alens
Fabric, the teal from The Batik Butik.
Take advantage of a 10% discount on three of our favorite summer time patterns when you order before August 15, 2006.
Be sure to mention the newsletter offer for a discount on your choice of:
#302 Princess Seamed Dress
#401 Nightgown PJs
#651 Walking Skort
Happy summer sewing from all of us at Petite Plus Patterns!
